WINNERS ANNOUNCED IN NSAI SONG CONTEST


Nashville, Tenn. - The song "Shiver You Up", by Steve Casey and Dan McNeil of Ottowa, Canada, has been selected as the Grand Prize Winning Song in the 2nd Annual NSAI Song Contest presented by CMT and Country.Com.


Chuck Cannon, President of NSAI, announced the winners of this year's songwriting contest today. "We are proud to recognize these new up-and-coming songwriters, and welcome them into our songwriting family here in Nashville," said Cannon


The Grand Prize Winners Steve Casey and Dan McNeil received, along with many other prizes, an all-expenses-paid trip to Nashville during Tin Pan South for meetings with Music Row Publishers, appearances on CMT's Most Wanted Live, WSM-FM radio and a showcase at the legendary Bluebird Café.


Dreams do come true! Amazingly, "Shiver You Up" was placed on hold immediately by a Nashville publisher and garnered strong interest from two top country artists.


"We strive to award our winners in a way that will jump-start their careers and give them opportunities that they would not have had otherwise. Providing our winners with the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get their song in front of the Music Row decision-makers is something that NSAI is proud to be able to do," said Bart Herbison, Executive Director of NSAI.
